That is configurable for the search icon with the dashboard Icons. I can remove that, and just leave the one in the upper right corner.

So, definitely went away under Chrome on OpenSuse Linux 13.2. Will see about mobile.
@Michael-Monahan are you using mobile with web browser, or mobile app?

I have seen that too. I think it is a caching issue. Not sure if it is nodebb or web server. I will see if I can figure that out. - Hawke
